According to CNN International, secret services received information about a “suicidal individual” who was traveling to Washington DC from Indiana.
In a statement, Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for secret services, reveals that the agency members saw a person who corresponded to the description near the White House and found their car parked.
“When the agents approached, the individual was sgesting a firearm and a armed confrontation took place, during which gunshots were fired by our staff,” said Guglielmi.
