Hypermarkets are gaining ground in the gas cylinders market with the implementation of “their own price policies” that distinguish them from large companies in the sector, such as Galp, Rubis Gas and Repsol.
According to the regulatory entity of energy services (ERSE) to this Monday, prices practiced by hypermarkets are more appealing to consumers because they enjoy Synergies and Cross Discounts of your multi-sector business models.
The hypermarkets hold more than one third (33.7%)from the quota of the gas cylinder market – “which can be marketed at fuel supply stations, traditional, hypermarket stores and through telephone service and internet applications,” explains Erse – while Galp, for example, has 21.2%.
The phenomenon is similar to what you see in the fuels: Hypermarkets often have lower prices than traditional gasolineiras.
In terms of prices, ERSE indicates that Botija gas values continue to riseespecially due to the increase in international prices.
In February, for example, the average prices of 11 kg and 13 kg butano propane bottles were 33.00 and 34.49 euros, respectively. For March, efficient prices for these bottles are slightly higher, calculates the entity.
