The (Attorney General’s Office) against the former president () and 33 others is the target of allegations that point out some robust and other fragile points in their support since it was released on February 18.
From it, the (Supreme Federal Court) may make Bolsonaro defendant on accusations of attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law and Coup of State, damage qualified by violence and serious threat against the heritage of the Union, deterioration of overturned heritage and participation in a criminal organization.
Part of these points began to be dealt with by the defendants of accused sent to the Minister of the STF last week.
According to Attorney General, Paulo Gonet, the former Mandannuous led an attempt to coup to stay in power and prevent the president’s inauguration (PT) with the help of allies. The politician denies that there was an attempt to blow. If it is condemned, he, who runs until 2030.
Some of the best-founded aspects of the play delivered against Bolsonaro are the evidence that there was more than one time of scam with the former president’s allies. The documents were found in more than one address, including the former Justice Minister’s house.
In addition, Bolsonaro spoke more than once about discussing a state of defense and place, even without legal support. The attacks on the consistent and public ballot boxes are also abundantly documented in Gonet’s complaint.
On the other hand, some points raised by the prosecutor are considered less consistent. Two of them are the argument that Bolsonaro agreed with the plan to kill authorities, including President Lula and his deputy Geraldo Alckmin (PSB), and that he would be directly involved in.
See some points considered robust or more fragile in the complaint.
Versions of a “journey of the coup” were found at the house of former Justice Minister Anderson Torres, in the Bolsonaro room in the PL and on an electronic device of, plot whistleblower and former politician’s orders.
It was also found a draft about a crisis cabinet that would manage the country after the blow was consummated. The document was on the number 2 computer of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, General Mário Fernandes.
Cid and Freire Gomes, then Army Commander, and Aeronautics Baptista Junior, mention that such a draft was actually presented to the armed forces chiefs in at least two meetings, one of them by Bolsonaro himself, who has already admitted more than one occasion to have discussed the state of siege.
There are also robust evidence about having attacks on the polls even with the science of Jair Bolsonaro allies that there was no evidence of fraud. The PF (Federal Police) investigation revealed dialogues in which members involved in the plot recognized that they had not found such problems.
In addition, the former president made attacks consistent with the electoral system in Lives, interviews and meetings with authorities. In them, Bolsonaro also suggested that he was willing to leave office if he lost the elections.
The complaint also points to the pressure on the military to prove the fraud at the ballot box. The Bolsonaro party, the PL, even entered the TSE with a request for annulment of part of the 2022 elections votes. The action was denied, and the acronym sentenced to pay a fine for litigation in bad faith.
A point raised as possible fragility of Gonet’s complaint is the fact that the Attorney General has advanced in the PF conclusions by claiming that Bolsonaro agreed with the plan to kill authorities, including President Lula and his deputy, Geraldo Alckmin.
It is argued that there would be fragile elements to indicate the consent of former President Bolsonaro about this part of the plot and that so far more concrete evidence to give solidity to the statement have not been made public.
In Gonet’s play, the argument is that the document on the plan – intimately dagger and yellow – was printed in the Planalto Palace and taken to the Dawn Palace at times that coincided with Bolsonaro’s presence on site.
In addition, the WhatsApp message quoted by the reserve general Mario Fernandes to Mauro Cid in which the general says he had a conversation with the president and that “any action” could be carried out until December 31.
Gonet also traces a direct relationship between the former president and January 8, 2023, another advance regarding the conclusions of the PF.
It is argued that, in the complaint, the PGR disregarded Mauro Cid’s speeches saying that Bolsonaro did not plan the coup attacks that occurred on that date. Another argument is that this direct connection between Bolsonaro and January 8 would be based above all on which they are not conclusive and can raise various interpretations.
While Gonet also denounced Bolsonaro for damage qualified by violence and serious threat against the union’s assets and deterioration of overturned assets taking into account January 8, the PF did not include such crimes in the indictment against the former president in November 2024.
