The first crocuses in 2025 have already bloomed in. The Tatra National Park announced the appearance of flowers on the second weekend of March in the Kościeliska and Stążyńska Valley. However, we will wait a bit for a full flourishing of crocuses.
Season for crocus in the Tatra Mountains 2025. When do they bloom?
However, for several years, spring in the mountains makes itself felt much earlier. This year, individual crocuses broke through the snow at the end of February. In March, much more purple flowers appeared. Crocuses usually bloom at the end of March, bloom for several weeks, usually until the end of April. If an exceptionally warm aura persists, this year’s crocus season in the Tatras will start and end earlier.
Crocuses in the Tatra Mountains 2025. Where to watch?
The Chochołowska Valley is the most popular in the crocus season. The clearing dotted with purple flowers then looks phenomenal. However, there are many more places in the Tatras where crocuses bloom equally. If we want to admire nature, it is worth choosing less crowded places. It will be safer and more comfortable, for example in the Kościeliska Valley, in Kalatów, in the Kopieniec Polana, by the road near Relven, in Zakopane on Toporowa Cyrhla, in Kościelisko, Witów and Dzianisz.
Crocuses in the Tatra Mountains 2025. How to watch and what not to do?
When crocuses bloom in the Tatra Mountains, crowds of tourists come to the mountains, who often unconscious and even drive flowers. That is why TPN moved a few years ago with the action “Ani step (s) on!”Here are the rules for watching crocuses in the Tatras:
- Admire crocuses and photograph from the tourist trail.
- Do not go to the clearing so as not to trample crocuses.
- Do not sit down (!) And do not go (!) In crocuses when photographing or posing for photos.
- Do not break the crocuses, the souvenir will be photos.
- Do not park on crocuses.
- Take your rubbish with you.
- Use toilets in a shelter or portable toilets along the trail.
- Be a guardian of crocuses. If you see the wrong behavior, react!
