Flood of the Iaco River retreats, but situation is still worrying in Sena Madureira

Data issued on the morning of Monday (10) by the Municipal Civil Defense indicates that the Iaco River has presented a sign of ebb in the last 24 hours. The decrease in water volume was in the order of 12 centimeters.

On Sunday (9) the ruler dawned measuring 14.17 meters. Already this Monday, the index recorded at 6 am was 14.05 meters. Even in the face of the ebb, the level still remains above the alert quota, which is 14 meters.

For now, there are no homeless families yet. However, in some neighborhoods the water from the flood has already advanced in the backyards and is about to reach the floor of homes as is the case of the neighborhoods Praia do Amarílio and Bom Sucesso.

According to Carlos Davila, representative of the Civil Defense in Sena, monitoring is done every day and the contingency plan has already been set up to be put into practice if there is the need.
