From the 1990s, when the market economy was just introduced in our country, I have to remember the advertising for fabric softener. It featured a small, cute toddler and a blue bunny azurit. It was a hit. Before some people realized that the fabric softener could quite decently clog the washing machine. Respectively, the part that connects the tank with the work of the drum.
Commercial fabric softeners are still a hit, none of it. Most recently, the market for work is rolling various perfumes for laundry washing, which was not the case. However, there are those people who stick to their old -fashioned principles and chemically made softeners from drugstores will not even touch. Still, the laundry smells beautiful and is soft. How are they doing?

Softener then and now
The purpose of the fabric softener is to soften the textile. The fact that manufacturers in the textile industry gradually began to enrich it with fragrances is an extra bonus. But in the 60s – 70 years, when fabric softeners (in the world) were experiencing the greatest boom, they have not yet been developed so that they can be added to the washing from the beginning, because the chemically produced softening substances did not hate with those that worked as a cleaning agent. So the fabric softener was added to the rinse cycle. Later, manufacturers put their heads together and everything changed with the arrival of automatic washing machines, as we know them today – with magazines. But we turned into ancient history.
Soda
Let us return to the topic of dealing with laundry softening and to make us fresh, for example, after citrus. Prepare a bowl, take about half a glass of ordinary baking soda and add the same amount of salt. Baking soda, among other great features, can handle well not only with fat, which dissolves, but also with the eaten dirt, ie with it, ecological washing devotees always distract on clogged socks, football knee socks or overalls.
Salt
Salt with dirty laundry also waves. In addition, it softens the water perfectly and greatly helps maintain the good condition of the washing drum because it prevents the limescale from settling.
Essential oil
Sprinkle a bowl with soda and salt with essential oil with the scent you love. For example, for a good mood, for example, it can be some citrus, or the lemon grass smells absolutely wonderful. Allow to dry, for example, in a jar, be sure to close through the lid. And that’s it. You have just made homemade fabric softener.
