Thousands of people in the states of Queensland and New South Wales were out of power on Monday (10) after the tropical cyclone Alfred, which was relegated from category, continued to bring heavy winds and rains, causing flooding. State authorities rescued several people who were trapped in the flood waters formed by the heavy rains.
Queensland Fire Department and fast -wate rescue teams attended more than 150 calls and withdrawals in the southeast of the state on the last day, the authorities reported in a statement.
