Miguel Albuquerque, waits to vote for the legislative elections of Madeira
Legislative, again legislative, then municipal and presidential as early as 2026. Campaign for the first act has begun.
Ripped the campaign to elections anticipated in Madeira.
Legislative of March 23as third in about a year and a halfderive with 14 applications to compete for the 47 seats in the Regional Parliament, in a single circle: CDU (PCP/PEV), PSD, Livre, JPP, New Right, Pan, Madeira Force (PTP/MPT/RIR), PS, IL, PPM, BE, ARRISE, DNA and CDS.
Miguel AlbuquerquePresident of the Regional Government, is the PSD candidate. Paulo Cafôfo of the PS and Élvio Sousa From JPP complete the list of candidates who should be the most voted.
The other list heads are José Manuel de Sousa Rodrigues (CDS-PP), Miguel Castro (He arrives), GONÇALO MAIA CAMELO (The) e Mónica Freitas (Pan); This from parties that already have at least one deputy.
They still compete: Edgar Silva (CDU), Roberto Almada (BE), Marta Sofia (Book), Paulo Brito (PPM), Raquel Coelho (Wood force), Paulo Azevedo (New Right) E Miguel Pita (ADN).
The early elections occur 10 months after those, following the approval of one presented by the arrival – which justified it with judicial investigations involving members of the Regional Government, including the president, Miguel Albuquerque (PSD) – and the dissolution of the Legislative Assembly by the President of the Republic.
In the legislature that now ends, the Regional Parliament had 19 PSD representatives, 11 of the PS, nine of JPP, three of the arrival and two from CDS-PP. Pan and Il had one seat each and there was still an independent deputy (ex-budget).
Os social democrats to regional legislatures and govern for 49 years the archipelago. To guarantee the absolute majority the PSD has already made agreements with CDS-PP and PAN, but the current (in management) executive is minority.
According to the budgets delivered to the accounts and political financing, the applications foresee together, together, 1.049 million euros in the campaign that will take place until the 21st.
This will be the first time in 2025 that the Madeirans go to elections – but should be the first of Four elections in less than a year: These regional legislatures, the probable national legislatures, the municipalities in September/October and the presidential in January 2026.
And they may still be five if the Madeira Regional Government is again overthrown.
