Would you guess what to eat in our country, but elsewhere is forbidden? There is certainly something about food bans, others shock you. Which foods are forbidden outside the Czech Republic?
The ban of poppy is quite common
For example, the ban is very funny. The fear of opiates prohibits the import and use of poppy in the Middle East, but also in the United States. Favorite seeds, which are melted and mixed with sugar to fill the mixture with cakes or pour it with sweet dumplings, are elsewhere in the world a dreaded food.
People who come from these countries feel that the peeled poppy gets them at least to the threshold of nirvana, if not directly into the seventh sky. Lightened faces and searching views, what the surroundings probably say, are definitely hilarious when buying pastries.
The Kinder Egg I is prohibited
Equally entertaining is the prohibition of Kinder eggs in the United States. In this case, the problem is not a strange raw material, but the fact that confectionery hides an inedible part, or a toy that children are crazy about. Because this part is inedible, the whole sweetness is forbidden.
In many EU countries, such as Hungary, Greece, Bulgaria or Austria, genetically modified foods are not allowed, and this is true, for example, specifically for soybeans. In our country, however, this ban does not apply. GMO or genetically modified foods are a controversial and very misunderstood theme that deserves education.
While breaking, bloody brawn or slaughter soup are quite common foods that you can and do not like, in some countries there are any dishes with blood supplies forbidden. This applies not only to the United States, but also by Singapore for fear of food safety. The ban also applies in Muslim countries and Israel, where blood must not be consumed for religious reasons.
The residents of Singapore since 1992 have been adhered to. For pollution of public spaces, chewing gums are forbidden.
You can also buy in the Czech Republic and prepare salmon from the farm according to your own taste. However, it is forbidden in Australia or New Zealand. Even in this case, it is a concern for genetically modified or colored foods.
Do not bring anything to the US
For example, the category for itself is the export of any food to the United States, Australia, Canada or Japan.
The list of foods you must not take with you on your way to the United States is tremendously long and includes, for example, all meat, fruits and vegetables, most dairy products, but also seeds and nuts.
The fine can be expected even if the imported food is allowed, but you did not admit it to the customs officer.
