The researcher Lara Mesquita is the new. Her texts will be published every two weeks, with editions on Sundays on the newspaper’s website and on Monday in the print version.
Graduated in Social Sciences from, Lara completed the Master in Political Science from the same University. Subsequently, he obtained the title of PhD in the area from the Institute of Social and Political Studies of UERJ (Rio de Janeiro State University).
Capixaba born in Vitória, she is currently a teacher at the São Paulo School of Economics of FGV (Getulio Vargas Foundation), where she develops research on political and electoral systems, and was already publishing articles in Sheet.
Among the topics studied by Lara are elections, parties, electoral reforms and budget amendments.
She states that, in the column, she intends to address relevant topics of politics today, bringing analyzes based on scientific articles, academic research and databases. “Contributing to the debate less based on my opinion and more based on the discipline tooling,” he says.
According to her, “a little distancing, bringing previous experiences and the accumulated knowledge in the discipline, can bring a less instant eye and, in this sense, help see things from another angle.”
With the new column, Lara Mesquita will take turns the space on Mondays with, doctor in political science from USP and researcher at CEBRAP. Each will publish a text every two weeks.
