A fatal traffic accident occurred on Monday shortly before 2.00 am on the state road I/20 at the entrance to Košice. “A hitherto unknown driver, probably a truck in the left lane, knocked a 26-year-old pedestrian who probably crossed the road at that time,” Informed the Košice regional police on the social network, saying that the driver had escaped from the accident.
The pedestrian after a collision on the spot succumbed to injuries. The police closed the section of the road I/20 in the direction from Budimír to the crematorium in Košice and carried out a thorough documentation of an accident with the participation of an expert in the road transport department. The police in this section diverted transport to the second descent from the highway. The investigator initiated criminal prosecution for the offense of killing.
