With goals from Yuri Alberto and Garro, the Corinthians beat Santos 2-1this Sunday (03/09), at the Neo Chemistry Arena, and secured a place in the final of the Paulista Championship 2025. The match was valid by the semifinal of Paulistan.
Playing at home, Corinthians opened the scoring early, with Yuri Alberto scoring at the 12th of the first half. Santos equaled with Tiquinho Soares at 38. Already at 11 of the second stage, Garro hit a beautiful kick and defined the scoring.
Santos did not have Neymar on the field. The attacker stayed in the bench because of a problem in the left thigh.
The game also had two expulsions, both in Santos: Zé Ivaldo received a red card at 36 of the second half, after a strong entrance to Yuri Alberto, and Gonzalo Escobar was punished after kicking in José Martínez.

Paulistão 2025: Dates of the Final Games
The final of the Paulista 2025 Championship will be made in two games. The first match will be on the day March 16, next Sunday. The second is scheduled for 26 (a Wednesday) or March 27 (a Thursday).
Last week, the CBF sent a letter to the state federations and requested the championships to end until March 26. However, this month’s FIFA date runs until the night of the 25th, which has Argentina x Brazil at 21h (Brasília time). Thus, finalist teams may have worn out or worn out of date.

Behind the scenes, there are club leaders who advocate changes in the two dates of the finals. For this current, the ideal would be to have the first duel on the 13th (this Thursday) and the second on the 16th (Sunday).
Thus, the players called for teams would be free to travel and the casts would not suffer from problems for the second game of the final. However, the Paulista Football Federation did not comment on possible changes.
If the second game of the final happens on the 27th, the complication turns to the first round of the 2025 Brazilian Championship. Corinthians and Palmeiras debut in the competition on the 29th, Saturday. Already São Paulo and Santos do the first duel in Brasileirão on Sunday.
