Brain functions can also be developed in adulthood through their stimulation and regular training. This was pointed out by the Public Health Authority (ÚVZ) of the Slovak Republic on the occasion of the global campaign of the Brain Awareness Week, which lasts until Sunday (16 March). He stressed that a healthy brain is essential for living a full life.

The campaign aim is to draw public attention to The human brain, its activity and the importance of a healthy lifestyle and brain exercises to support its functioning. On this occasion, the Office will publish activities to practice brain functions by the end of the week on social networks.

“A healthy brain is essential for the survival of a full life. The brain is one of our most important organs – it allows us to think, move and communicate with the surroundings. It gives us the ability to perceive the world around, feel emotions, remember, learn and focus, ” noted ÚVZ.

As he said, an important role in how the brain will work during life, its structural development plays in the period before, around and shortly after birth. “At that time, the brain is the most attractive and sensitive to stimulation, so early experiences can significantly affect the individual’s life,” explained the office. During adolescence, brain functions such as thinking, memory, spatial orientation, attention or imagination ripen.

In children, according to experts, it is necessary to stimulate brain functions gradually, with respect to their age and the most varied spectrum of activities. “Be careful not to overload them,” He pointed out ÚVZ. He added that Brain functions can also be developed in adulthood due to brain plasticity.
