According to reports, the capybara, an ordinary animal in the region, apparently entered the ETA for water or shelter, but became a victim of a system that, according to the association, was not prepared to deal with the presence of wildlife. The needy paw considers the incident not only an irreparable loss to local fauna, but also a sign of neglect of the authorities regarding the protection of wild animals.

In the note, the Association requires the Acre Public Prosecution Service to take immediate measures to investigate the circumstances of the capybara’s death and hold those responsible for the operation of ETA.

The case of the capybara generated repercussion on social networks, with several people expressing their solidarity and demanding justice.

The Public Prosecution Service of Acre, in turn, has not yet officially commented on the association’s request, but it is expected that an investigation will be open to investigate the facts and avoid future tragedies such as the one that occurred in ETA.

Note of repudiation!

We publicly manifested our indignation and repudiate what happened in Rio Branco in Acre, where a capybara that swam in one of the tanks was crushed by the machines of that station.

In this context, we can see how human evil has no limits, people who were filming should, by obligation, save the animal, request the dismissal of the devices, and not watch the torture session of an innocent.

Still in this respect, we see the lack of empathy also by the government, which issued a note explaining what happened with an emphasis on water quality, not the life of the animal.

Capybaras are acrean symbols of an ecologically balanced environment, as our Federal Constitution foresees. Therefore, we require the Public Prosecution Service to take the appropriate legal action. Every life of life matters!
