During the 4 days of parties, more than 1.7 million people passed through the state airports
The São Paulo Carnival in 2025 registered an economic impact of R $ 6.7 billion in the state, according to calculations by the CIET (Intelligence Center of Tourism Economy) of Setur-SP (Secretariat of Tourism and Travel of the State of São Paulo).
“The São Paulo Carnival is an inclusive and democratic celebration, which advances year by year attracting visitors and encouraging the tourism economy”, says Secretary Roberto de Lucena, tourism and trips from São Paulo.
During the 4 days of parties, more than 1.7 million people passed through state airports. Guarulhos recorded almost 1 million passengers, representing an 8% increase compared to the previous year.
In Congonhas, the number was 430 thousand passengers, with growth of 6%, and Viracopos airport in Campinas received 345,000 passengers, a significant increase of 30%. The data were calculated by the CIET with the dealers.
Carnival of São Paulo in the municipalities
The CIET also collected data on tourist movement in the municipalities of São Paulo. Of the 150 municipalities that held parties or schedules for Carnival, 54.5% reported that the event exceeded expectations and 27.3% said the carnival happened as expected.
Carnival in the city of São Paulo broke record of registered blocks, with 767 registered blocks, surpassing the 2020 mark, when 600 blocks were recorded.
In Campinas, 60 carnival blocks attracted 250,000 people over the party days. Already in Rifaina, the beaches of freshwater were crowded by revelers, with 21,400 people received in the city, according to the local city hall. In São Sebastião, on the North Coast, the party had 30,000 people on the first night of the beach street. Over the period, more than 100 attractions were held at 17 points of the city, between February 27 and March 4.
