According to the management, the problem was caused by the strong current and the presence of Balseiros, who became the floating located on the banks of the river, making it impossible to continue the capture process.

Regarding the hole on the ferry, the problem had already been detected, and yesterday was scheduled to replace with a new bomb, but due to unforeseen transport, it was not possible. However, the substitution is being performed today (11), and maintenance will be completed by the end of the day at 21h.

“The incident occurred due to the combination of strong current and the presence of a tree trunk that contributed to the tipping of the floating. The Rio Branco Water and Sewage Service (Saerb) is concentrated on the assembly of a new equipment, aiming to restore supplies as quickly as possible, even temporarily, until normality is fully restored, ”said the city.
