Kremlin warned on Tuesday (11) the Russians not to be carried away by the government of US President Donald Trump, is doing in relation to Ukraine, even though their actions sometimes seem hopeful for Moscow, and forever “prepare for the worst.”
Washington interrupted military aid to Ukraine and suspended intelligence information sharing after Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy clashed at the Oval Hall last month, and Moscow forces have been a significant success since then efforts to expel the Ukrainian forces from the Kursk region in the west of Russia.
High -ranked Russian politicians reacted with joy to what they considered to be Zelenskiy’s humiliation in the White House, saying that the Ukrainian leader had what he deserved in a meeting seen as useful for Moscow at a time when he is working to build ties with Trump’s new administration while trying to discredit Zelenskiy.
Trump’s counselor Elon Musk also caused Russia on Sunday by saying in X that the entire Ukrainian front line would collapse if he turned off his Starlink communication terminals, although he later said it was something he would never do.
“Do not hurry to put pink glasses,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a audience at Moscow Higher School on Tuesday, checking the reality for Russians excited about Trump’s seemingly friendly behavior, which completely altered the policy of previous US administration.
“We always need to expect the best, but to be prepared for the worst. And we should always be ready to defend our interests, ”said Peskov.

Its warning was made at the time when US and Ukrainian authorities make conversations in Saudi Arabia, partly designed to determine whether Ukraine is willing to make material concessions to Russia to end the war. If the conversations are successful, Kiev expects Trump to resume military aid and total intelligence sharing.

Peskov said Russia was reaching its goals on the battlefield in Ukraine, regardless of any past or future decisions made by the US government.

“Many (Russians) are … saying that Americans will now stop delivering weapons (to Ukraine) or have stopped, and that Musk will now turn off their communications system and that everything will work for us,” Peskov said.
“(But) Everything is working for us without these things. And so many weapons have already been brought to Ukraine that, even after the interruption of deliveries, the Ukrainians will have material to fight for many, many months. ”
“If Musk shuts off your system, another thing will be immediately turned on. But things are working for our men (fighting in Ukraine) without any dismissal, without any interruption (on deliveries), and they are advancing, ”he said.
