The Superior Court of Justice (STJ) suspended, on Tuesday (11), the judgment of the case known as “crime of 113 South”. The ministers analyze the request for appeal by Adriana Villela, convicted of the murders of her father, mother and family maid.

Minister Rogerio Schietti, rapporteur of the case, denied the appeal and granted the immediate execution of the prison at the request of the Public Prosecution Service.

However, Minister Sebastião Reis asked for a view and thus the trial was suspended. The resumption of the analysis of the appeal may occur within 90 days.

Adriana was sentenced to 61 years in prison by the Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories (TJDFT) in 2019.

According to the lawyers, the broad defense was not possible because access to some testimonial media occurred after the jury began.

The murders took place in August 2009 and became known for the number of the court where the family lived in Brasilia.

The victims were José Guilherme Villela, former minister of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), lawyer Maria Carvalho Mendes Villela and Francisca Nascimento da Silva, maid of the house.
