Burns and abuse to teenagers triggered an investigation against the mother of Santo Hayra Vitória Pereira Nunes, 22, leader of the spiritual tent Grandma Maria Conga Aruanda in Gama (DF), an administrative region approximately 28 kilometers from Brasilia, which culminated in the arrest of the woman on the afternoon of Thursday (6) by the 14th Gama Police Station.
According to the Federal District Civil Police (PCDF), the suspicion was arrested in the city of Planaltina de Goiás (GO), where she had fled, for the crimes of torture, sexual exploitation of adolescents, severe bodily injury and criminal association.
PCDF’s investigation revealed that the suspicion submitted women and adolescents to acts of extreme physical and psychological violence, as well as sexually exploiting them for financial advantages.
The corporation explained that a teenager suffered serious burns in the hands and tongue, and was beaten with heads in the head and other parts of the body.
One of the victims fled on January 24 and another, a teenager, escaped two days later and both remained hidden for a while and even stayed overnight in a thicket, fearing being found by the mother of saint.
