The German researchers studied the remains of a noble Celtic who lived about 2,500 years ago.

The man died at an age between 30 and 50 and had a height of about 170 cm, which significantly exceeded the average for the Celts of that era. He was buried in a high-ranking grave, which confirms his important status in society. Archaeologists have long assumed that representatives of Celtic noble classes could have been higher than their contemporaries, and the new study supports this hypothesis.
A special interest in the scientists was chasted by the traces of a lesion discovered on the left ischiatic bone. It seems that this man was injured by an arrow in the pelvis area. Despite the severity of the wound, it did not significantly affect its mobility. The metal peak of the arrow was extracted, and the subsequent care was allowed to recover and continue its life.
Unfortunately, the skull of the skeleton has not been preserved, but the other bones are in good condition, which allowed the researchers to draw valuable conclusions about the life and physical condition of this ancient Celt.
