Donald Trump Jr. met with Serbian President Vučič to discuss strategic cooperation between the US and Serbia and joint projects for the future.
Donald Trump The Younger, the eldest son of the US President, met Serbian President Aleksandar Vučič on Tuesday in Belgrade, said Serbia leader on Instagram platform. They discussed mutual relations between countries, TASR writes according to Reuters report.
“I stressed the importance of economic and political relations between Serbia and the US and the importance of strategic cooperation between the two countries and joint projects in the coming years,” said Vučič.
Searching for balance
The Serbian President has repeatedly supported the policy of the current US administration. The visit comes at a time when Belgrade is trying to find a balance between the search for the support of the United States and other Western powers when the country’s accession to the EU and its ties to Russia and China, which is an important investor in the field of infrastructure, extraction and energy.
Last March, the son -in -law Donald Trump Jared Kushner announced a plan to build a luxury hotel on the site of a building in Belgrade, which was destroyed during NATO bombing in 1999.
