The Russian Defense Ministry claims that the Russian air defense was reflected on the massive attack of Ukrainian unmanned aircraft on Tuesday night, capturing and destroying 337 drones, 91 of which in the Moscow region, AFP reported, TASR writes.

Radio Sloboda (RFE/RL) stated – and the authorities confirmed this in the meantime – that the drone attacks in the Moscow region claimed at least one victim and three wounded. They also report material damage, e.g. on apartment buildings.

Restricted operation

As a result of drone attacks, there was a temporary restriction of operation at Moscow Airports Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Serremtevo and the Podmoskov Airport Zhukovsky.

Some suburban trains in the Moscow region did not prepare for damage to railway lines.

Most drones – 126 – at night on Tuesday registered and defeated over the Kursk area near the border with Ukraine. Moscow and the Moscow region faced an attack of 91 drones. Another 38 of them were disposed of over the Brian region, 25 above the Belgod area, 22 above the Riazan region and ten above the Kaluan area.

Smaller numbers of drones were also reported from Lipecka, Oriol, Voronezh and Nižnonovgorod, the Ministry of Defense said. The Riazan Operational Headquarters also informed about the massive attack of the Ukrainian drones – the systems of the air defense of the Ministry of Defense shot down 22.

Renewal of support from the US

The attacks on the Russian capital, far from the Ukrainian border hundreds of kilometers, come before the expected meeting of US and Ukraine’s top representatives, which will take place on Tuesday in Saudi Arabia.

Ukraine is ready to submit to the United States a partial ceasefire plan with Russia in the hope that it will restore support from the US – its key ally and donor during the more than three years of war -spoken Russia, AFP added.

Talks in Saudi Arabia will be at the highest level since a recent meeting in the White House, where the Presidents of Ukraine and the US have gathered Volodymyr Green’s and Donald Trump. However, the negotiations ended in a rupture when Trump and his Vice President of JD Vance blamed the green alleged ungratefulness for the help provided to Ukraine by the United States.

In order to force Ukraine to sit on the Washington negotiating table, he then suspended military assistance to Ukraine as well as sharing news information and access to satellite images.
