The construction of business barriers and the adoption of restrictive measures in international trade limits the export potential of Slovak companies and industry. This was stated on Wednesday by the Council of Slovak Exporters (RSE) who He calls for starting negotiations at national and European level with partners in the US to prevent the trade war.
“We should not be fooled by statistics on how much steel or aluminum directly exports or does not export the Slovak industry to the US. The context of these duties is and will be wider, These are not good news for the European Union or for the Slovak economywhich falls in the ranking of global competitiveness, “said RSE chairman Lukáš Parízek.
He added that the members of the Councils that do business in the field of metallurgy are exporting aluminum to the US not only from Slovakia, but also from their subsidiaries, for example in Canada. This is one of the reasons why it is necessary to perceive the context of tariffs and related restrictions in a broader context.
