‘Binho would be a great candidate, but Jorge should run for government,’ says Edvaldo

During interview with On the sceneo podcast to ContilNetthis Monday (10), state deputy Edvaldo Magalhães (PCdoB), one of the founders of the Popular Front of Acre (FPA), said that the left should have a complete stage in 2026, with candidate for the Senate and the Government.

To date, the strategy of the group that brings together left -wing parties and the democratic spectrum bet only on the candidacy of Jorge Viana (PT) to the Senate, without disputing the government, which must have only right candidates in 2026. Edvaldo believes that the left must have the boldness to perform with a complete stage.

“We have to have the majority candidates at the center of this new project, not just for the Senate. It has to have for the government. That’s what I defend. We have to introduce ourselves. Have the courage to reposition us from the point of view of political dispute through the center of power. If you are making arrangement, you will be a lot of people changing color to deceive. You don’t have to make arrangement, but we have to present ourselves as we have always been, ”he said.

“I argue that we build a plate. The PT is presenting Jorge’s name to the Senate. Great, whatever. We have done this in another time, when we launched only Marina and came out winners. We may have a tactic similar to the one adopted before, but we have to have the complete stage, with the plate of federal and state deputies, repositioning us, making the bets, ”he added.

Contrary to what the group decided, Edvaldo believes Jorge should be a candidate for the government.

“In the past election, I became a boring kind of this discussion, because I said he had to be a candidate for the government. In the end, it was so long to decide, and he was a candidate for last-minute governor. And it was widely harmed by that. One of the mistakes was the delay to decide. Now he has decided to be a Senate candidate, and I won’t fall into the mistake of insisting on something else. But he should be a candidate for government, ”he said.

During the interview, recalling FPA governments, Magalhães quoted former governor Binho Marques and said the teacher would be an excellent candidate in 2026.

“Binho was not very charismatic. It was more introspective. He never crossed the head of Binho being a governor, but was elected in that bulge and made an extraordinary government. By the way, if it depended on my opinion, he would return to be a candidate for governor in these 2026 elections. ”
