Manchester United CEO, Omar Berrada, admitted that the club is in danger of reducing its investment in the cast due to the construction of the new stadium. To reduce costs, Manchester United has taken steps such as cutting free lunches for employees in Old Trafford and Carrington’s CT. In addition, the new majority shareholder, Jim Ratcliffe, implemented job cuts, resulting in the resignation of more than 200 employees.
The new stadium, designed to have a capacity of 100,000 people, is seen as an opportunity to expand the club’s revenue. Old Trafford, with a capacity of 74,000 fans, is not part of future plans. United has chosen the Fosters + Partners architecture office to lead the project, which is expected to move up to 7.3 billion euros for the local economy.
