Highgate Portugal has appointed three general directors to lead the new hotel units of the Salty Cluster: Algarve Marriott Salgados Golf Resort & Conference Center, Marriott Residences Salty Algarve e Westin Salgados Beach Resort. Currently in the renewal phase, these hotels are scheduled to open in April 2025.
Pedro Neto assumes the Directorate-General of the Cluster of Salgados, also accumulating functions as a Girector General of Algarve Marriott Salgados Golf Resort & Conference Center. Joana Pinteus will be the Girere-General of Marriott Residences Salgados Algarvewhile Eleonora Scorza will take over the direction-general of the Westin Salgados Beach Resort. With a consolidated course in the sector of hotel and hospitality, the three professionals will contribute to the growth of the Highgate brand in Portugal and to the positioning of these units as references in the tourism sector.

As director general of the Cluster of Salgados, Pedro Neto will be responsible for the strategic management of the hotel complex and, in particular, the Algarve Marriott Salgados Golf Resort & Conference Center. Its role will be essential to the success of the operation and for the consolidation of the positioning of hotels in the luxury market in 2025.
With a career marked by leadership positions in brands such as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Design Hotels e Octant Hotel Vila MontePedro Neto recently performed functions as director general of Distrelago Resort.
“It is with a profound sense of responsibility and commitment that I accept this challenge and, in the short term, my priority is to ensure the success of the relaunch of the salty cluster. In the long run, I intend to enhance their positioning and their units as luxury hotel references in Portugal, ensuring their profitability and raising the service standards of excellence and hospitality, ”says Pedro Neto.
Joana Pinteus assumes the direction of Marriott Residences Salgados Algarve
As director general of Marriott Residences Salgados AlgarveJoana Pinteus will have the mission of coordinating the unit’s renewal and preparing the operation for a new positioning within the Marriott International brand.
Degree in Business Management and a postgraduate degree in Hotel Management, Joana Pinteus also completed a Master in Tourism and Hospitality Management at European University, as well as executive training in Top Management in Hospitality and Tourism in the indeg-class. Its professional path started in 2013 and includes experiences in the Bairro Alto Hotel, Areias do Seixo, Noah Surf House and, more recently, in the Immersed hotelswhere he was director general.
“I feel privileged to take the lead and the responsibility to present and launch the new Marriott Residences Salgado Resort, Algarve. I am committed to contributing to elevating the hotel’s position and reference, as well as achieving all its growth goals, ”says Joana Pinteus.
Eleonora Scorza leads Westin Salgados Beach Resort
Eleonora Scorza assumes the direction-general of Westin Salgados Beach Resortwhere it will coordinate the opening, operation and management of the unit.
With a career focused on luxury hospitality, Eleonora has extensive experience in international brands such as Conrad Hotels & Resorts, having performed leadership positions at Conrad London St. James and, more recently, at Conrad Algarve. Its route also includes a stint at the Millennium Hotels and Resorts group.
“It is a pride to be able to embrace this project in one of Portugal’s most potential destinations. Based on the experience gained throughout my international career, my main goal will be to enhance the world -known Westin brand in its Algarve debut as I will try to position Westin Salgados Beach Resort as a reference of the international brand, ”says Eleonora Scorza.
With the appointment of these three professionals, it reinforces the bet on the Algarve as a reference destination for luxury tourism, preparing the reopening of the Salty Cluster in April 2025.
