Former federal deputy José Dirceu (PT) said on Tuesday (11) that Brazilian sovereignty is being threatened by the alliance between former President Jair Bolsonaro and US President Donald Trump.
Dirceu stated that the narrowing of bonds between pockets and the US government aims to destabilize Brazilian democracy, citing the period of military dictatorship as a historical analogy.
“The moment we live in the world is a moment of great tensions, when war fears will haunt again as in the 1920s and 1930s, and the far right fascism takes governments in several countries,” Dirceu said in a speech during the celebration of his birthday at an event in Brasilia.
The petista also criticized the support of Bolsonarists to the Trump government, stating that when traveling to the United States, members of the far -right Brazilian right, with the defense of external interventions in Brazil’s internal affairs.
“They go to the United States to preach national betrayal, the intervention of the United States, the Big Techs in national affairs,” said Dirceu.
The Workers Party (PT) has worked to block the participation of Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) in the Foreign Relations Commission of the House of Representatives, due to his actions in the United States in, Alexandre de Moraes.

According to governors, Eduardo Bolsonaro would be promoting international retaliation against Brazil, articulating foreign sanctions and pressuring Brazilian courts, especially regarding the trial of his father, Jair Bolsonaro, who is being investigated for attempted coup.
