Russia kills 4 Syrian citizens in an attack with a missile against the port of Odesa
Russia has killed four Syrian citizens between 18 and 24 years old by launching a ballistic missile against the port of Odesa that has caused damage to a ship with Barbados flag carried wheat to transport it to Algeria, as explained by the governor of the province, Oleg Kiper.
According to the governor, the MJ Pina freighter, with Barbados flag, was damaged by the outbreak of a ballistic missile launched by Russia, and attached an image of a ship with the blackened case and other damages. He adds that in addition to the four deaths, two other people have been injured, one Ukraine and another Syrian. “At the time of the attack, the ship was carrying wheat to export it to Algeria. It is a totally civil ship, ”adds Kiper, who also reports that the attack has caused damage to another ship, docks and cereal stores.
“Russia attacks the Ukrainian infrastructure, particularly the ports that are involved in strengthening global food security,” denounces the Ukrainian leader, who underlines the need for ports to be “protected from terror” and that Ukraine defenses and “a reliable peace and safety through the power of weapons and diplomacy are reinforced.”
This is the first Russian lethal attack after Ukraine accepted on Tuesday the US proposal to declare fire on land, sea and air for an initial period of 30 days to which the Kremlin must now respond. (El País / EFE)
