the Judicial Police (PJ) explains that the police action was developed in collaboration of the Intervention and Security Group of the General Directorate of Reinsertion and Prison Services.
“At stake is an investigation regarding trafficking crimes and other illicit activities, namely offenses to physical integrity, extortion and threats, aimed at various prisoners, involved in the distribution and consumption of psychotropic substances,” can be read in the statement.
18 searches were performed with the objective of “Collect evidence and ensure the security of the prison community”. PJ seized diverse documentation, as well as mobile phones and “Several papers suspected of being impregnated with synthetic cannabinoids” that will now undergo laboratory tests for confirmation. ”
The PJ warns that in recent months drug presentations in the EPPF have increased, especially synthetic drugs.
