A start a competition of goals between its regional superintendencies, on Monday (10), in which it claims to seek better performance in the operations, expertise and judicial police indicators of the agency.
The purpose of the so -called “PF 2025 Challenge”, according to a statement published in the corporation’s intranet, is to gain efficiency, speed and increase integration between police areas.
Regional superintendencies will compete in isolation and regional blocks, until September 9, when there will be an award, not yet defined.
The measure, however, has generated negative reaction between class entities, which speak of possible increase in pressure for results, internal competitiveness and stress. They also claim that it will not bring any qualitative result as a consequence.
On the other hand, it states that the challenge will serve “as an excellent laboratory for identifying good practices, opportunities for improvement and innovation,” according to the intranet note.
In addition, it argues that the police and society will gain from the initiative, as a significant reduction in the average duration of police inquiries, correctional alerts, expertise and the qualification of operations are expected.
It also says that the challenge will raise the sense of belonging and commitment of the servers, through the engagement and involvement of the staff, and that competition “is a playful and objective way to stimulate the search for results desired by the institution.”
The president of the National Association of Federal Police Delegates, Luciano Leiro, told the Sheet that federal delegates saw “with perplexity and concern” the measure.
“The search for improvements in management indicators by the Federal Police is always commendable initiative, but it does not seem reasonable that the diminished effective police, already so stressed, worn out and devalued in recent years, be subjected to a competition,” he said.
Already the president of the National Association of Federal Criminal Experts, Marcos de Almeida Camargo, states that the competition goes against the PF Rosa dos Ventos program, which proposes to elaborate and execute actions that promote that of servers, as well as the quality of life at work.
“We seek to extract more from the servers as if they were their problem and not from infrastructure and resources. In addition, the ‘award’ that the event offers is very questionable. Police mission is a need if work should not be viewed as a prize, as if it were a tour company,” he said.
Sought to talk about the criticism of the associations, through its press office, the PF did not comment.
According to internal disclosure, the challenge will take place in two stages, between March and September. In the first, the dispute will be among the regional superintendencies.
The winning unit will be the one that obtains the highest score in the sum of various criteria, including the percentage reduction of inquiries without dispatch for more than 80 days and requested expertise for over a year.
In the second phase, the competition will be among the five regions of the country, which should perform with excellence in operational criteria. Among them, the number of reports of Judicial Police operation, such as indictments, as well as the percentage reduction of police inquiries established by 2020.
The superintendence that has an inquiry with more than 180 days without dispatch will be eliminated from the competition. As well as the region that has a police station without any operation in 2025.
During the two steps, the superintendencies and regions will have the support of the boards and the General Corregedoria. The evolution of the units can be accompanied in an exclusive area in the PF intranet throughout the competition.
The agency states that the strategy has been adopted by numerous public and private corporations, “constituting a powerful tool for integration, belonging, commitment and increased organizational culture.”
It also added that, in the PF, the use of this management instrument is not new and that in 2023 and 2024, the Corregedoria successfully conducted two challenges.
