Text goes to Lula’s sanction; service requirements should be defined by the Executive

The Federal Senate approved this Thursday (11.mar.2025) the creation of the dental reconstruction program for victims of domestic violence. The text goes to the sanction of the president (PT).

The vote was symbolic. The Federal Deputy project (MDB-SP) seeks to ensure that the SUS (Unified Health System) offers dental care, including reconstruction procedures and prostheses.

To have access to services, victims must present supporting documents to be defined by the Executive Power. The cost of the program will be within the scope of SUS.

The physical damage that affects the face and the oral apparatus stands out for the disabling effects, which exceed the functional aspects, also achieving the social and emotional dimensions of the assaulted woman”Says the report presented by the Senate Rapporteur, Dr. Eudócia (PL-AL).
