The governor of, criticized on Wednesday (12) the president (PT) by saying that the federal government committed “unkindness” and an “institutional break” by asking for help from Rio de Janeiro to hold, but not to invite him to participate in the event in November 2024 in the capital of Rio.

“Who committed an impar indeedness, even an institutional break was the federal government when not inviting the state governor to go to the G20 even having asked for help of R $ 40 million to the social G20, even having charged, requested help in public safety. Who committed unkindness, a lack of education and an institutional disruption was the federal government for the Rio state government, not understanding that the G20 was an institutional place,” Castro said.
The governor also criticized the performance of the Federal Government Foreign Minister, Mauro Vieira, saying that the chancellar is “very weak”.

Despite the criticism, the governor said he was open to dialogue with the federal government.
“The role of situation and opposition is from Congress. Mayor should not oppose governor, governor should not oppose president,” he said.
He concluded by saying that he is open to what the president wants to take to the state. “Governments are required to work together. That’s what I do. I criticize when it has to be done, but everything Lula wants to take to Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro is with open arms, we never failed to guarantee anything,” he said.
