Faro Airport will have 86 routes for 75 destinations from summer, including direct connections to New York, Helsinquia and Requiavik, the Ana – Airports of Portugal said to Lusa.

In 2024 a record growth in traffic on all its airports, having added almost 70 million passengers, an increase of 4.3% over the previous year.

In the case of Faro, the airport registered 9.8 million passengers in 2024, an increase of 2%.

In addition, it recorded “a new record of the 2024 winter season, with a 38% increase in places in relation to winter 2019 (+6% compared to 2023),” according to the company led by Thierry Ligonnière.
