The Dona Nina plot, a gentleman who lives in a slum surrounded by violence. One day she decides to document the crimes on her own, from filming recorded on VHS tapes, made from the window of her home in the South Zone of Rio.
The story is based on the actual case involving Joana da Pazwoman who was responsible for unmasking a large gang of traffickers and corrupt police. In 2005, when the report on the case was aired, she was renamed “victory” and was eventually forced to live “hidden” until her death in 2023. Over the course of 17 years, she lived in the witness protection program.
