Gabriel Bortoleto: Chances at F1 in 2025

Currently, Sauber is one of the most fragile teams in Formula 1, but hope for great results is in 2026. Audi bought the team in 2024 and, since then, is working on the development of the 26 car, when the team will be called Audi F1 Team and F1 rules for cars will have significant changes.

The great highlights of the new rules are the (light) reduction in the size of the car, the change of the concept (and the use) of the mobile wing and the adoption of a kind of push-to-pass, an overtaking button using the electric motor, with the energy stored in the batteries.

Bortoleto’s contract with the team runs until the end of the 2026 season. It is unlikely to take place victories and podiums in 2025. Any point that comes can already be highly celebrated. However, the expectation for 26 is that the Brazilian has a car to fight for great goals in the season.
