Ιράν: Κάλεσε για εξηγήσεις τους διπλωμάτες Γαλλίας, Βρετανίας και Γερμανίας

The Foreign Ministry invited him to explain the diplomats representing him, and in Tehran, in order to protest the “abuse” as he described it, the UN Security Council that met in front of the Iranian nuclear program.

The Security Council met on Wednesday at the request of many Member States (USA, Britain, France, Greece, Panama, South Korea), after the latest report by the International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA) was released on the basis of which Iran increased to a ‘60%’ of alarming.

The US called on the Council to condemn Iran’s attitude. In their announcement after the meeting, they said that Iran is “the only country in the world that does not have nuclear weapons but produces enriched uranium for which it does not have a credible peaceful purpose”. Britain warned that it would call for sanctions on Iran by the UN to prevent the country from gaining nuclear weapons.

Iran denies that he wants to develop nuclear weapons and insists that his nuclear program only has peaceful purposes.

Trump’s proposal and the denial of Lamenei

Today, diplomats of the three European countries “were called to the Ministry (…) in protest of their complicity with the US for the exploitation of the Security Council mechanism and holding a meeting of the doors for the Pacific Nuclear Program”.

The three European countries had signed the 2015 international agreement with which Tehran agreed to restrict its nuclear program in exchange for relaxing international sanctions.

US President Donald Trump has said he is ready to talk to Tehran about a “agreement” on the Iranian nuclear program and revealed that he had sent a letter to the Iranian leadership, threatening to take military action in the event of a refusal. Iran’s top intellectual leader Ayatollah Ali Hameni has implied that he is rejecting the US proposal for negotiations, but today state media reported that the Foreign Ministry did not rule out the possibility of talks.
