The EU extends the selective sanctions to Russia after accepting the demands of Hungary

The Council of the European Union has prolonged this Friday another six months the selective sanctions against Russian personalities and entities for undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, after accepting Hungary’s demand to remove three names from the blacklist, according to diplomatic sources.

Apart from these restrictive measures, the EU has already approved 16 packages of sanctions (sectoral and selective) against Russia since the initiation of the large scale of Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
