More than 100 million people in the United States will be on the way to an intense storm from Friday, 14, as the system brings the threat of fires, snowfalls, tornadoes and flooding as it advances east through the large plains.
The US National Meteorology Service predicted strong winds that extend from the Canadian border to Rio Grande, with gusts of up to 130 km/h, which creates a significant risk of fire in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
Meanwhile, a winter gust is expected more to the north, with possible snowal conditions in the dakotas and minnesota.
The central region, from the Gulf Coast to Wisconsin, is in danger of severe storms that can generate tornadoes and hail. On Saturday, 15, the forecast is that severe storms will move to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and then to Florida. The possibility of floods is a concern from the central coast of the Gulf to the top of the Ohio Valley.
The turbulent mood is expected to reach the east coast on Sunday, 16, with strong winds and risk of sudden flooding in localized areas.
