SAO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS)-A plane from the American Airlines company caught fire on Thursday (13) at Denver International Airport in the United States, and dozens of passengers had to cluster on one wing while waiting for the ransom. According to the American press, there is no record of injuries.

The aircraft carried 172 passengers, as well as six crew. The plane was destined for the city of Dallas, but had to be diverted. All people were relocated after the incident, according to a statement issued by the airline.

Videos published on social networks show the plane on fire, a dense column of black smoke, and several people about one of the wings of the plane. The incident occurred at 5:15 pm local time (8:15 pm in Brasilia). The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) investigates the case.

FAA reported that the crew reported vibrations in the engine’s engine, a Boeing 737-800. “After landing safely and taxing to the Denver International Airport gate, American Airlines flight 1006 had an engine -related problem,” the airline said in a statement.

“We thank our crew, the team (Denver) and rescuers for the fast and decisive action with the safety of all on board and on land,” he added.

The case is the latest in a series of incidents that raise questions about the security of American aviation.

In January, in the largest US air disaster in decades, a passenger plane crashed into a military helicopter in Washington, killing 67 people.
