The Army of Air and Space of Spain has announced that it will carry out the deployment of the Canary Islands F-18 veteran fighters in Greece to perform maneuvers at the Andravida Air Base, which will begin on March 24 and will end on April 13.
This is the third consecutive year in which aircraft participate in this international year, Iniochos 25; Organized by the Air Force of Greece (HAF). One of these fighters is wing 46, which operates at the base of the Gando (Gran Canaria) and will move to the Andravida Air Base, to the southwest of Greece, located in the Peloponnese Peninsula.
The exercise will have three phases: the deployment of force, execution and replication. All of them will be supervised by the HAF combat systems school. In addition to the deployment of fighters, demonstrations with other aerial media, such as helicopters or transport and training aircraft will also be made.
Along with Spainother countries will attend, as is the case of France, Israel, Italy, India, Montenegro, Poland, Qatar, Slovenia, United Arab Emirates and the United States. In addition, Cyprus and Austria are also expected to also collaborate with support personnel, while Baréin and Slovakia will send observers.
