The observation of radio signals from space has a long tradition in astronomy. Radio waves have been measured from space since 1933, and some of the largest telescopes that have been built are only devoted to radio observations. Again and again puzzling signals were caught, which could not be explained at first. The most prominent example is quasare, a word that translates for “quasi-stellar source of radio waves”. Be behind it, as you now know, super massive black holes.
