The Trás-os-Montes event, organized by the Trás-os-Montes Regional Wine Commission (CVRTM), will be held for the first time at the Algarve, on April 5, between 15:00 and 20:00, at the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Hotel. This initiative aims to make known the diversity and quality of transmontane wines, bringing together more than 100 references from 17 producers in the region.
This will be a unique opportunity for industry professionals, journalists, sommeliers and wine lovers explore the elegant and full -bodied reds and the fresh and aromatic whites that characterize this wine region. Tickets will cost 10 euros and will be available for purchase at the event venue.
Ana Alves, president of CVRTM, highlights the importance of this event: “This was already an old will and this year we decided to advance and challenge the producers of Trás-os-Montes to head to the south, to make known their best wines. This was the way the first edition of the Trás-os-Montes event was born in the Algarve, an enticing and growing market, where the expression of Trás-os-Montes wines is still reduced. ”
The leader adds: “We expect this event to be welcomed by all the Algarve, as it is an incredible opportunity to know and taste the wines of Trás-os-Montes with a view to the ocean.”
Trás-os-Montes in proof promises a true sensory experience, where it will be possible to know wines from centenary vineyards, traditional productions such as rock mills and the wine of the dead, as well as tasting sparkling and late harvests. In addition to tradition, the event also highlights innovation, with processes such as the use of chestnut flower in wine production.
Producers participating in Trás-os-Montes in race include John’s House, Casa José Pedro, Sonim slopes, Flandório, Nest of Pita, Palmeirim D’Anglaterra, Paraglide, Quinta das Arcossó Quinta, Quinta Romerhus, Quinta Serra d’Orra, Vale dos Montes, Mogadouro Lands, Villela Seca, Mont’Alegre wine.
With this edition in the Algarve, the event Trás-os-Montes in race aims to strengthen the presence of the region’s wines in the south of the country and to conquer new lovers.
