Carioca club announced action against the US company for damages in the administration

Vasco da Gama will file a lawsuit against 777 partners to demand compensation for damages caused during the management of the Pic Football Society (SAF). The announcement was made by Legal Vice President Felipe Carregal on Thursday (13.mar.2025). The information is from

“I believe Vasco is a creditor of 777, for all we have discovered and we are discovering. Let’s look for compensation because what they did at Vasco Saf is a foolish ”said Carregal.

The US company has been removed from SAF control since May 2024, when an injunction of Rio de Janeiro returned the management to the Associative Club, chaired by Pedrinho.

Recently, a judge of the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice (TJRJ) imposed limits on the administration of Vasco. The decision states that financial transactions, disposal of assets or corporate reorganizations need prior judicial authorization.

A crucial point in the dispute is the identification of those who currently control 777 partners. Carregal mentioned an action in the United States where a creditor accuses the insurer to be the true controller of the group.

“One of the creditors has audio by Josh Wander himself [ex-sócio-proprietário da 777] saying that since 2023 has not signed checks without authorization from A-CAP. If this is true, those who are running the company will answer for their actions ”said the Legal Vice President.

Vasco was able to postpone a trial that would evaluate the SAF control injunction, on the grounds that 777 must clarify who is responsible for the company.
