“What are the measures announced by the government on the legal regime of electric mobility?”
A Deco Informa …
Deco congratulates the decision of the government not only to review the legal regime of electric mobility, but also to respond to the claims that Deco submitted following the complaints of consumers.
For consumers, carrying an electric vehicle in the public network is a headache. It is necessary to previously hire an electricity commercial, wait for an invoice, which is often too long to arrive, try to understand an extremely complex tariff and make numerous bills to anticipate how much they will pay after loading their vehicle. And even thus, consumers are still surprised by the final bill.
For Deco the current model is revealed today, misfit of reality, and its revision to a simpler, easy, transparent and less cost system is fundamental. For this reason, the association presented in December last year a set of proposals related to the hiring, tariff, coverage and training of consumers.
Although it does not yet know the proposal approved, the Deco cannot, but congratulate the measures announced by the government, after the Council of Ministers, namely:
- the possibility of the consumer being able to carry and immediately make payment without needing a prior contract or access to a platform;
- the guarantee of the standardization of the count units for comparison purposes;
- The possibility of consumers benefiting from supply units that have energy production for vehicle charging.
However, without prejudice to these measures, it is important to ensure that the system works, that regulatory and inspection entities balance the market, and that consumer literacy and proper electrical network coverage are also prioritized.
