Acre river continues to go up in Rio Branco and reaches 15.51 meters; Level has risen 11 centimeters since the last measurement

The level of the Acre River is still elevating in the Acrean capital. According to the last measurement carried out by the Municipal Civil Defense, the spring reached 15.51 meters at 21h this Friday (14). Since the last update, at 18h, when the level was 15.40 meters, the river rose 11 centimeters over three hours.

The elevation of water level has been constant during the day. At 6am, the river was 14.98 meters, rising to 15.17 meters at 9am, 15.24 meters at noon, and 15.33 meters at 15h.

Several neighborhoods have already been hit by the waters, including August 6, Ayrton Senna, Old Chain and Baixada da Habitasa. Many residents have been withdrawn from their homes due to the risk situation. Mayor Tião Bocalom mentioned the possibility of decreeing an emergency if the situation continues to get worse.
