Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) used his social networks on Friday (14) to summon his supporters to participate in acts scheduled for this Saturday (15) in several countries in Europe and in cities in the United States, with the aim of asking the approval of amnesty for those convicted of attacks on January 8, 2023.
In Brazil, the demonstration with the presence of Bolsonaro is scheduled for Sunday (16), at Copacabana Beach, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The purpose is to press the National Congress to approve the project that grants amnesty to those involved in extremist acts.
According to the former president, there are marches in Rome (Italy), Zurich (Switzerland), London (United Kingdom), Barcelona (Spain), Orlando (USA), Florida (USA), Washington (USA) and New York (US). “By the amnesty of our brothers here in Brazil,” Bolsonaro said in a video.

The proposal that seeks to exempt those convicted of the events on January 8 is being processed in the House of Representatives in a special committee, but there is still no forecast of when it will be analyzed. The opposition claims to have the votes necessary to approve the measure, but still depends on a favorable context and political will.
