British Prime Minister Keir Starmer accused Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday that he does not take serious US efforts to secure a ceasefire in the war in Ukraine. According to the AFP report, TASR reports this.
Starmer commented on the topic after the Kremlin chief said on Thursday that he had “serious questions” to apply a 30-day ceasefire proposed by Washington. “We cannot allow President Putin to play games with an agreement on (the US) President (Donald) Trump,” British Prime Minister said according to his office.
“Absolutely ignoring President Trump’s proposal for a ceasefire by Kremlin only proves that Putin does not mean it seriously,” Starmer stressed. The Prime Minister also added that Putin “is trying to delay” the ceasefire.
Virtual talks with country leaders are planned for Saturday
