BTL is back: bigger and most complete tourism event returns in great and… with new name

A, the new look of the former Lisbon Tourism Scholarship (BTL), consolidates itself as the main event dedicated to the tourism sector in Portugal. Held annually in the capital, at the Lisbon International Fair (Fil), this year’s edition runs from March 12 to 16. The event brings together exhibitors and sector enthusiasts from around the world, including hotel chains, travel agencies, tourist destinations and diverse companies.

BTL started this Wednesday, with the first days dedicated exclusively to professionals in the sector. The opening to the public happened this Friday, from the 17h00extending to the 23h00 Saturday and to 20h00 Sunday. Individual tickets have a cost of 8€with promotional packages of three tickets per 20€ and four by 26€available for acquisition through the official website of the event.

More than a simple fair, BTL is a meeting point for business, networking and presentation of the latest trends in the sector. It has the participation of national and international exhibitors, presentations and various experiences for visitors. Over the course of the five days, the event brings together 1500 exhibitors and promotes 600 activities.

With days dedicated to professionals and others open to the public, BTL plays a key role in promoting tourism, fostering strategic partnerships through the sharing of experiences and creating new opportunities for the market.

Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy immersive experiences, tastings of national products, hobbies and promotions in the various exhibitors distributed by the four pavilions of the fair, rich in cultural diversity.

A 35th edition of BTL It features Cubathe invited international destination, and Leiriathis year’s invited municipality. The event proves to be an added value for the promotion of the most diverse regions of the country and the world, highlighting the unique characteristics of each place, such as landscapes, gastronomy or traditions.

According to the organizers, the change of identity to Better Tourism Lisbon It reflects the ambition to consolidate Lisbon as one of the main global tourist destinations, as well as the continuous growth and evolution of the event itself.

The organization has been investing in the diversification of offer for visitors, developing spaces and areas such as the BTL Cultural, BTL Emprego, BTL Lounge, BTL Religious e BTL Weddingsbetween others. It also offers a cultural experience dedicated to the younger ones, the Kids Routewhere each child receives a passport that is stamped after the conclusion of challenges in the various exhibitors.

O Pavilion Fourdedicated to travel agencies and international destinations, has the presence of countries such as the Brazil, Spain, Egypt, Japan, Morocco, Peru, Namibiaamong many others.

O Tavira Municipality also attended this edition of Better Tourism Lisbon 2025a participation that consider “a strategic opportunity to reinforce tourist identity and diversity, highlighting natural, cultural and gastronomic attractions, as well as the cultural program for the year 2025”, as referred to in their social networks. The surroundings of the city at the event reinforces the commitment to the appreciation of the place and the promotion of its traditions and heritage with the visitors.

The BTL continues to assert itself as an unavoidable event for the tourism sector, promoting not only economic growth, but also the sharing of unique cultures and experiences.
