Western set in nineteenth -century Alentejo arrived at the game boy: “The biggest crime is to traffic red wine” in the new Alentejo video game: Tinto’s Law.
After the heat of the success of Rockstar Red Dead Redemption 2, there is a new Western video game to take into account.
O “Alente: Tinto’s Law” He arrived on February 25th to the classic Game Boy and transports us to the nineteenth-century fields where we can be Gildo, an out-of-law fighting against the authoritarian rule of the red baron. But the best part is that it can also be thrown directly on the screen of your mobile device.
This villain, with oppressive laws, controls the region and it is up to the player to explore caves, mines and even cross the border with Spain to challenge him.
“From the beginning, we wanted to capture the essence of the Alentejo region and western spaghetti [nome dado aos westerns produzidos na Europa]with a touch of mood and Portuguese identity. The result was a game where the biggest crime is to traffic red wine, ”says Vasco Oliveira da Loading Studios, who developed the game to:“ Alentejo: Tinto’s Law was born of the desire to tell a unique and very Portuguese story in a format that no one expected, a Western spent in Alentejo, to be thrown into the iconic Game Boy ”.
The game is now available in digital and physical format. The first option, “Gildo’s Edition” is available for € 1.99 and includes the game’s rom, a poster and a demo, all accessible, through emulators or in the browser. But the physical edition, which costs 19.99 €, is not just an extension of the game: “The box, the manual, the map, the cartridge and the game itself running in the original hardware contribute to a full immersion experience,” explains Filipe Veiga of Teknamic Software, responsible for the game’s release. The physical version is limited and is available.
And the team made up of Vasco Oliveira, Daniel Penão, Marta Vaz and Ivan Barroso is not here: he is already working following the game, which will be called “Alentjor: The Titto & The Ugly” – A sequel to Gildo’s adventures, with teaser already available.
