“My total solidarity with, which has been the target of a coordinated persecution campaign, which was already announced before but intensified further by structural machismo, disrespect and wide misogyny of opponents – linching parliamentarians. A campaign perhaps deepened as retaliation for the appointment of the Minister of the Secretariat of Institutional Relations ,.

“It is inadmissible for people to use social networks not to the democratic exercise of critics, which would be legitimate, but to display their machismo and misogyny without any ethical filter, common sense or respect for people’s dignity. Not satisfied, they go further: slander, defam and threaten the country’s first lady. If you do this with her, imagine what these people are able to do with women in general, work environments, in party spaces, in their public and private relationships.

“Gender political violence, which seeks to delegitimize and silence women in the public sphere, needs to be denounced, combated and severely punished. We are not facing legitimate criticism, but attacks based on historical exclusion patterns, which associate female presence in power with a “error” that must be corrected with disqualification, hatred, threats and intimidation for women to withdraw from the political scene.

“Social networks are spaces of expression, but they cannot be free territories for the dissemination of violence and impunity.

“But I’m sure this will not shut up, Gleisi and many other women who have weight, strength and voice in the president’s government . We follow together, because occupying spaces of power is not concession, it is right that the harsh feathers have been conquered. ”
